City Relief: Thank You & What’s Next

Our hearts are still full after Sunday’s Hygiene Kit Packing Party! Thanks to your generosity, we SURPASSED OUR GOAL raised $14, 611 to support our unhoused neighbors through City Relief. You showed up with heart and hands—working side by side in laughter, generosity, and purpose. It was an incredible reflection of our community in action.

Volunteer at Good Shepherd

Looking for a meaningful way to connect, give back, and make a difference? Volunteering is a simple and impactful way to support our church and build community.

Easy Commitment: Arrive just 15 minutes before service—it’s easy to fit into your Sunday.
Flexible Scheduling: Use Planning Center to block out any dates you’re unavailable.

Ways to Serve

There’s a place for you—whether you love hospitality, working with kids, or supporting worship.

Hospitality Team: Greet guests, usher, and help create a warm, welcoming environment.
Liturgist Team: Serve as a reader during the service and help lead worship.
Kids Team: Support our children’s ministry as a teacher or helper—no experience required.

Youth Ministry

As our students head back to school, the youth ministry is also back with fun, connection, and lots of opportunities to explore and practice our faith together. Here are some upcoming dates to save!

Digital Church, 11am ET

Good Shepherd New York continues to post weekly online gatherings. We know that many are still uncomfortable or unable to attend in-person gatherings and a wider community beyond New York has begun to engage. We continue to move toward each other through these digital gatherings, our digital kid’s program, and our other community initiatives.
