We Need Additional Small Group Leaders
We are currently in need of a few more leaders and host homes for our Spring Small Groups in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Right now, our existing groups are either full or will need to remain closed to new people unless additional leaders step forward. In a very practical sense, that means our ability to welcome new participants this spring depends on having a few more facilitators and hosts in place.
Small groups are one of the primary ways people find connection and community at Good Shepherd. They help create a more personal and meaningful space within the life of our church, and they are only possible because members of our community are willing to help lead and host.
The spring commitment runs from the week of May 17 through the end of June. Leaders and hosts do not need to be available for every week, but should be able to participate for the majority of the dates.
If you have ever considered leading or hosting, this would be a particularly meaningful time to step in. And if you are simply curious, please know that reaching out for more information does not commit you to the role. You are welcome to inquire, ask questions, and learn more before deciding.
If you would like more information, please email Alicia.
Serve with City Relief
On the last Friday of every month, Good Shepherd serves alongside our church partner, City Relief, at their Chelsea Park outreach. These outreach days create a welcoming space for neighbors through hospitality, conversation, practical support, and connection to resources.
Volunteers may help with setup, hospitality, food and clothing distribution, neighborhood outreach, cleanup, and relational presence with guests throughout the day. It’s a meaningful opportunity to serve hands-on while joining City Relief in offering dignity, care, and hope.
2026 Outreach Dates- Registration is required. Please click the date you'd like to serve to go to the registration page.

Digital Church, 11am ET
Good Shepherd New York continues to post weekly online gatherings. We know that many are still uncomfortable or unable to attend in-person gatherings and a wider community beyond New York has begun to engage. We continue to move toward each other through these digital gatherings, our digital kid’s program, and our other community initiatives. You can visit our YouTube channel at digitalchurch.nyc and spread the word!
If you live beyond NYC and are interested in joining a digital small group, please email Alex (alex@goodshepherdnewyork.com).
