Introducing: Round Tables
This fall, we’d love for you to join us for a new opportunity to gather, Round Tables! Register Here
After the community survey we did in the spring, the elders and staff have been working together to invite conversation and connection for us all. We will be hosting four Round Tables this fall; each one geared toward a different demographic, with the goal of hearing from you about your communities and the opportunities you see for the church to engage more. We will be asking questions and listening and your voice is so important to these conversations! We would love for you to join any or all of the sessions (even if you might not name yourself in a certain group, you could be interested in the conversation!). Each session will be led by people both on staff and the elder board, and you can email Kate Gungor if you’d like any more information.
Round Tables will take place in the Fellowship Hall, from 12:30pm-1:30pm (following the 11am service). Coffee will be provided!
Save the Date - October 5: Round Table for Creatives/ October 19: Round Table for 20-Somethings/ November 9: Round Table for LGBTQ/ November 2: Round Table for Parents
Coffee Hour on Sunday Mornings
Coffee Hour Volunteers Needed – Launching Sunday, September 28
We’re excited to begin offering Coffee Hour on Sunday mornings—a space for connection, conversation, and community over a warm cup of coffee. To make this possible, we’re looking for a team of volunteers (yes, we need a couple dozen new people) to help serve coffee once a month. If you enjoy hospitality and are available to take a shift, we’d love to have you on the team!
Coffee will be served during two time slots: 9:00–9:45 AM and 10:30–11:15 AM
Whether you’re a regular at one of these services or just looking for a simple way to get involved, this is a great opportunity to serve and connect. Interested? Email, register, and if you have any questions, you can email Alicia to learn more.

Digital Church, 11am ET
Good Shepherd New York continues to post weekly online gatherings. We know that many are still uncomfortable or unable to attend in-person gatherings and a wider community beyond New York has begun to engage. We continue to move toward each other through these digital gatherings, our digital kid’s program, and our other community initiatives. You can visit our YouTube channel at digitalchurch.nyc and spread the word!
If you live beyond NYC and are interested in joining a digital small group, please email Alex (alex@goodshepherdnewyork.com).
